Turn-key service

The turn-key project service is intended for customers who want a specific data communications solution that requires a dedicated hardware and/or software design which cannot be realized with the technology directly available from NeCoSo. In other words, a new solution that has to be built up from the ground.

Typical examples of turn-key projects are:

  • Development of a internet interface for a device with high volume of data traffic/high communication speeds (e.g. streaming audio/video).
  • Development of a internet interface for a device that is to support a large number of (custom) I/O interfaces.
  • Development of a dedicated protocol convertor or network communications devices.

Usually the customer only has set of top-level requirements and does not want to do the development him self. Either because he does not have the knowledge, facilities and time or because he has defined it not to be his core-business and want to out-source it completely.

I have over 35 years of experience in the field of embedded hardware, software design and data communications and can take care of all the aspects of such a project in a 'turn-key' way.

When NeCoSo offers turn-key projects, customers usually ask to include one or more of the following aspects:

  • Project management
  • Requirement specifications
  • Hardware design
  • Component & supplier selection
  • PCB design
  • Mechanical design (for boxed, standalone solutions)
  • Software design and implementation.
  • Writing documentation (user manual, installation manual, etc)
  • Realization of hardware/software tools for testing.
  • Prototyping
  • Test and integration.
  • Realization of hardware/software tools for production. (loading software, configuring, testing)

At the end of turn-key projects all deliverables and sources are handed to the customer, so no royalties or licenses apply.

NeCoSo has the knowledge, experience and facilities to perform the complete turn-key projects in-house, at our own office location.
